I spend lots of time archiving my stock. I was a stockman in a shop once, so I had to organize a lot of stuff, maximize space as much as possible. Straight the bone means ‘let's go to the center’, the essence. Let's get rid of the futility, the inessential. It's also partially about actual bones, because I did use the skeleton form for some installations. So there's that additional reference to my own work.” – quotes from Régis-R interview with for cgac. image on left anatomically correct found plastic skeleton. image on far left cg artist's work using recycled plastic image on near left cg artist's work using recycled plastic insects, chandeliers, light-up gas cans – this is artwork with a message about giving attention to overlooked materials, excessive consumerism, and getting ‘straight to the bone’ of what art-making and creating is all about.” – quotes from Régis-R interview with for cgac. image on far left cg artist's work using recycled plastic image on near left cg artist's work using recycled plastic |
